Request the receiving address first
Before releasing fiat or confirming the trade, ask the counterparty which wallet will send the crypto. Screen that exact address rather than an unrelated screenshot or profile.
Read the result in context
Look at the relevant exposure, severity, recency, and transaction path. Compare the result with what the counterparty told you about the source of funds.
Stop when the story does not match
If the risk indicators conflict with the explanation, pause the deal, request clarification, or choose another counterparty. Document why you proceeded or declined.
